CHAPTER 11

Den of Sin was alive with the souls of humanity, all signed over for an eternity in Hell. Greed and lust drove most to sign their souls over to the seduction of the demon, however, there were the few odd ones that would sign to prolong their life, or the life of a loved one. Den of Sin was like that song, Hotel California. You could check out anytime you like, but you could never leave.

Once the soul was bought, the human who gave it over for whatever their need was would never get it back, and it was at that point, owned by Lucifer.

The afternoon was hot in Los Angeles, and Samael craved the heat of the woman next to him in his ride. He’d tasted only a part of Isabella the other night, and he longed to sink his cock deep inside her once more, lick her pussy, and fuck her tight ass. He wanted to fist his hands in her hair while he fucked her mouth. There was so much he wanted to do to the woman, but as she opened to him at her place, he knew now he would need to take things a little slower than he preferred.

Most women would give him whatever he wanted, and he took it, greedily. But with Isabella, something was different. She was different.

It’d been said that when a soulmate was found, the body would sense it had found its other half. There was a sense of recognition, that the souls have known each other, never knowing anything different.

But with Samael being a demon, he had no soul, so how would this constitute as him finding his soulmate?

It wouldn’t, which also, confused him. He was drawn to this woman in a way he didn’t understand, and he had every intention of severing what he’d felt earlier in the day. But the moment he was in her presence, that feeling, that emotion, it was gone, disappeared in the blink of an eye.

He didn’t understand it, but he could just go with it and see where it led him.

Looking over at Isabella as he pulled up to a red light, he noticed she fidgeted with her hands in her lap. He frowned and reached for her palm.

“Nervous?”

She let a soft laugh escape. “Maybe a little. I don’t know where you’re taking me, but I have a good idea.”

“Do you now?” He grinned and accelerated through the green light.

“I’ll just keep it to myself for now,” she answered. “I don’t want to ruin any surprises you have up your sleeve.”

He chuckled. “Well enough.” Her palm felt slightly clammy, and Samael gave her hand a gentle squeeze. “Remember, you trust me.”

She nodded, and he heard her audibly sigh. She was definitely nervous. He could use his compulsion, but why take away the anticipation of what awaits her? The unknown was part of the fun, the excitement of what’s to come.

Pulling around the block to the backside of the parking lot, he parked in his designated spot and turned off the car.
